LADURÉE – DUBAI

Jeg eeeeelsker macaroons og jeg er faldet pladask for det franske ‘Gossip Girl’-hypede mærke ‘Ladurée’. Bare det at gå ind i butikken her i Dubai, som btw også er en café, er en oplevelse i sig selv, med det smukke fransk inspirerede interiør, stemningen og duften af de fantastiske macaroons, mums. Jeg har før købt macaroons fra Ladurée i Zurich og selvom de koster en bondegård, så føler jeg virkelig også at det er kvalitet. Desuden har jeg personligt ikke brug for at købe 12 macaroons af gangen og kan derfor nøjes med at slippe hvad et stykke kage ville koste på en hver anden café (12 dirham pr. stk. = ca 20 danske kroner).  Det sværeste ved det hele, er at beslutte sig for hvilke smage man skal vælge og samtidigt undgå at bestille alt for mange.
Denne gang var det kun som en lille dessert efter vores middag, da vi var propmætte og ville bare lige smage. Vi valgte ‘salted caramel’, ‘strawberry candy guimauve’ og ‘vanilla pecan’. Min favorit var klart Vanilla Pecan, så den røg for hurtigt til jeg kunne nå at tage et billede af den  😛

I love macaroons and I have fallen completely in love with the french ‘Gossip Girl’ hyped brand ‘Ladurée. Just walking into the store here in Dubai, which is by the was also a cafe, is a great experience and I has the most beautiful french interior and the smell of macaroons. I have bought macaroons before in Ladurée in Zurich and even though they are extremely expensive I really feel like they are better than other macaroons and of very good quality. Besides, I don’t have the need to buy 12 macaroons at a time and can therefore settle to spend what a piece of cake at any cafe would cost (12 dirham a piece, about 2 pounds or 3 dollars). The hardest part is to decide what flavors to choose without going crazy and order way to many.
This time we just had dinner and were so full but we just wanted to taste a little bit so we shared 3, ‘salted caramel’, ‘strawberry candy guimauve’ and ‘vanilla pecan’. My favorite was definitely the Vanilla Pecan which is also why it’s the only one I didn’t get a picture of 😛
